Running Day 2010

Thank you to everyone involved with planning and operating the running day on Sunday, what a fantastic job you have all done, I thoroughly enjoyed the day. With the variety of vehicles on display and operating the services, together with the number of people attending, this for me was the best running day yet. I know there are many people involved but I would like to give a special mention to John who marshal's the services. He is on his feet from early morning to late afternoon ensuring the services get away on time and advising people of where each bus is going. He is always helpful in answering everyone's questions. I don't think I could do the job quite like he can, after the fifth or sixth question "where is this bus going" I would probably be snapping back "why don't you buy a programme to find out"!!!

The 2007 IOW Bus Museum running day was absolutely brilliant and one I’ll never forget! I travelled on this coach and these two gentlemen helped to make the day even better, just by their great sense of humour and the great atmosphere that they created on board the coach. They are a real CREDIT to the museum and I hope they keep up their good work

As always in these pressured, straightened times it is good to be able to relax and enjoy the sight and sounds of ones childhood. I particularly enjoyed the ride on the OB. It was a sound I heard most days as an OB which was by then used as a mobile vegetable shop would come up the hill to be parked in a property near my parents home.

Congratulation to all involved in the Island Bus Running Day on Sunday. It was my first visit to one of your running days and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I thought the set up was great, the variety of buses to use was terrific, all in all great value entertainment, I must also add that I thought the Programme was wonderful with just the right amount of very useful and entertaining info on the buses involved. So many entry programmes are just paper with words for the sake of it, this was great.

I am a member of the Museum but have so far not been able to make full use of my Membership, but hope to do more this year. I am now really looking forward to the October Running Day.
